The newest town in the Outer Banks
- Everyone always wonders where the city or town may have received its name, in this case Duck, came about because the hunters and gathers have been flocking here since the 1800’s for its abundant waterfowl. This is how the town of Duck came about.
- Duck is the Outer Banks newest town. It was incorporated in 2002 but already holds a great reputation for their beaches, outdoor adventures, dining and shopping. You can enjoy, kayaking, jet skiing, wind surfing and more. Many of the beaches located here have been named among some of the best in the nation.
